The Solar Plan is a great solution if you’re looking to spread the cost of your new system, and you’d like the security of performance monitoring and unlimited repairs for the plan lifetime, with no callout fees or excess.
Your monthly payment covers everything needed for hassle-free power generation for the lifetime of your plan:
- your new system including panels, inverter and battery (if chosen)
- installation by an MCS certified engineer, including scaffolding and access equipment as required
- lifetime remote monitoring and periodic on-site inspections, to ensure the system is performing as expected
- unlimited repairs (access, parts and labour) for the plan term, with no callout fees or hidden charges
- replacement protection: if any of the equipment fails and can’t be repaired, we’ll install replacements, even if the manufacturer warranty has ended
- low or zero upfront cost, with no payment due until your system has been installed and commissioned.
We offer £0 upfront cost options with monthly payments starting from £50. You can also choose to make a larger upfront payment – up to 25% of your system installation value – which will reduce your ongoing monthly payments. Prices vary depending on a number of factors including your chosen equipment, installation requirements, and the upfront payment and plan term options you select.
Once your design has been specified by your engineer, they’ll send your personal Solar Plan quote with a link to check pricing and apply online. Offers are subject to status and finance agreement.
Installation is done within two weeks of applying
Financing enables you to spread the cost of your new installation, rather than paying upfront. Our Solar Plan also covers lifetime monitoring and periodic inspections, so you can have confidence that your system is performing as it should. And with unlimited repairs included and no callout fees, you won’t have to worry about unexpected bills during the plan term.
With terms up to 25 years, the Solar Plan also gives you the option to spread your payments over a longer term than, for example, a 10 year personal loan. This lowers your monthly payment amount, and means any equipment repair or replacement will be covered for up to 25 years, regardless of the manufacturer warranty length.

Warranties may have shorter terms than your chosen plan – particularly for inverters and batteries where the average expected lifespan is 8 to 15 years. They can also have exclusions, or be invalidated if the system isn’t installed or maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s terms. But with the Solar Plan, you have peace of mind that all repairs and replacements are covered for the plan lifetime – up to 25 years.
The plan does not cover removal and replacement of functioning solar equipment for the purpose of making roof repairs.

There’s a 14 day cooling-off period after signing your agreement, during which you can change your mind and cancel your agreement with no payment due. Once your system has been installed, you can end your plan at any time by paying the settlement amount outlined in your agreement, with no quibbles or penalties. The monitoring, maintenance, repair and replacement service provided by Hometree Finance will end, and no further payments will be due.
